I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
